Our Rosh Chodesh celebration for the eighth Hebrew month Cheshvan, the month of the tribe of Manasseh, is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 1 in Manchester, NJ. This will be our last Rosh Chodesh in South Jersey for awhile. Next month we return to North Jersey.
Cheshvan is the eighth month, which signifies eternal revelation and new beginning. It will be a very important month. We have come through the important feasts of last month and we are now ready to walk into the “new” God has prepared for us. Note that the flood began in Cheshvan (judgment) and it ended a year later in Cheshvan when Noah brought his sacrifice to God. God revealed the sign of His covenant across the sky with the rainbow (seven colors) to never again bring a flood on the earth. (restoration)
There are no holidays in the month of Cheshvan. It is a month of revelation, judgment and grace. It is the month to allow the fragrance of God to begin to permeate our soul.
