We have just entered into the new Hebrew month of Cheshvan!
Cheshvan is the 8th month of the Hebraic calendar, and both the number 8 & Cheshvan mean new beginnings! Knowing the “time” we are in will help us as we navigate through this month of new beginnings.
This is a good month to study the life of Noah. We find that the account of Noah and the Ark, both started, and ended in this month! The name Noah means “rest” and we see that when Noah believed God and entered into the ark (rest) – God gave him a new beginning.
Hebrews 11:7 tells us that Noah was a man of faith.
“By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household...” Hebrews 11:7

We read in Genesis 7 that the Flood started on the 17th of Cheshvan, and ended a year later in the same month! The Ark was Noah’s protection during the flood, yet he still had to stay on the Ark for a season even AFTER the rain stopped!
We too, are protected by the Lord when we submit to Him. But if we do not correctly discern our “times & seasons” of new beginnings, we may try to rush out of the Ark without waiting for the waters to go down, the ground to be dry, or the trees to grow again!
Ask the Lord for the Issachar anointing, that you would not only know the times and seasons, but how & when to move forward as well.
“I will make justice the measuring line, and righteousness the plummet; the hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters will overflow the hiding place. Your covenant with death will be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol will not stand” Isaiah 28:17-18
Cry out, for the rain of God’s Spirit to fall on the minds and hearts of the people in our nation...
That the Righteous judgment of the Lord would begin to flood and overflow the hiding places of the wicked!
Decree that the covenant of death in our land will be annulled, and the agreements with darkness will not stand!
The month of Cheshvan is linked with the tribe of Manasseh which means: to forget the pain of the past & turning something bitter into something sweet.
Psalm 30:11 says the Lord has turned our mourning into dancing and He replaced our sackcloth for garments of gladness.
Decree that you WILL taste and see that the Lord is good. His goodness will cause you to forget the pain of your past!
Declare that you will put down the garments of the last season, and begin wearing the mantle that He has created for you! (Zec. 3)
Bitter may be where you came from – but it’s NOT who He called you to become!
This month is also linked with our digestion! Words can affect our ability to digest. Think about it, we even have sayings like they “swallowed their words” or, that's a “juicy story.”
Proverbs 18:8 & 26:22 warns us that words not spoken correctly go into the inward parts of your stomach. Many times stomach problems are the result of receiving wrong words.
We need to meditate, chew, and digest the Word of the Lord day and night. They say “you are what you eat” and that is true spiritually as well!
If you have received any wrong words, ask the Lord to forgive you and to fill you with a hunger for His Truth instead!
Decree that you will be filled to the full with His Words of Truth and that THEY will come alive IN you and transform you into His image!
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19
Declare that you will begin to tread on that which has tried to tread on you! That no weapon formed against you shall prosper!
