As Holy Spirit leads, please remember to submit everything you read and hear to Him. He is faithful to teach us how to pray and will prompt us if we need to dig deeper.

The Federal Level of Government

  • I get a daily email through the Presidential Prayer Team. I generally use email but go to the website so I can get more details. This gives me the President’s agenda for the day and one federal representative to pray for. I also get a list of news articles about pressing national issues of the day. This website is a favorite of mine that offers more resources than I can list here. presidentialprayerteam.org/daily-prayer-briefing
  • Another favorite is 247nationalstrategicprayercall.com. This ministry is a 24/7 prayer call across the nation and has been since they were called to start this call for then Mr. Donald J. Trump, candidate for President. Daily emails are full of details you would have to search far and wide to get. Our people perish for lack of knowledge — for governmental intercessors it provides great assistance. It is important where you get your information, but please remember to submit all information to Holy Spirit, dear ones. He is faithful to teach us how to pray and will prompt us if we need to dig deeper.
  • “Defending the Republic” is not a Christian-based group but conservative and led by someone I admire, Sidney Powell. You can get more from it if you pay a fee, but you may want to start with what is available for free. You get a free email every Friday and sometimes one during the week — I find that is enough for me. defendingtherepublic.substack.com
  • Next, I am on the mailing list for IFA. I find many of their information and prayer guides helpful and informative. ifapray.org

The State of New Jersey

This is honestly harder. There is fake news at both the Federal and State levels. I only listen to Channel 12 NJ News concerning the weather and human-interest stories — I find them to be very one sided when it comes to news from the government of NJ.

I am on the mailing list for a few of our NJ public policy groups:

  • The Center for Garden State Families is a small but effective Christ-centered public policy organization. You can get on their email list and they will alert you of state issues of importance along with action alerts. gardenstatefamilies.org/contact-us
  • The NJ Family Policy Center is another Christ-centered public policy group. They are large and connected with the national organization of Family Policy Councils. You are encouraged to get on their mailing list as well. njfpc.org
  • A more current group I have connected with that is secular, yet conservative, is called Jersey First. I am grateful for the information I can gather from them. You may want to get on their email list for their weekly newsletter. jersey1st.org
  • When the legislature is in session you can go to the home page of the State Legislative site. Scroll down to the calendar and learn what is on the agenda for the day. You can view live committee meetings and sessions as they happen, and many are available after the fact for replay. You can meet your own representatives, learn the bills they sponsor, see their voting record, and communicate with them from their page. You can look up bills and check their status. Just know agendas can change on a dime — if you are going to the State House for something specific, check the website just before leaving. njleg.state.nj.us

If you have time, I always encourage folks to take a tour of the State House. Prayer walk stealthfully throughout and let YOUR LIGHT SHINE! You might want to take your children to the NJ Museum a few doors away, or to the Barracks on Barrack Street to learn about the Battle of Trenton and the history of dinosaurs in NJ — these are really great places to visit and learn. Be reminded you need your photo ID driver’s license to get into the State House. If you enter the door to the Annex, note the eagles above the lamps and the scripture on the panel at the entrance — Psalm 24:1.

The Nation of Israel

  • Christian Broadcasting Networkcbn.com/news/israel. Here you will find reporting from a place of respect for Israel concerning the Middle East.
  • I listen to Tousi TV when things are happening in the Middle East. He is on YouTube and is currently reporting from a temporary location in Florida — you can find out his status from his website. I find his reporting from the Middle East pretty accurate. tousi.tv/news/live
  • TBN Israel is available on YouTube and they will send you an email if you sign up for it. There are many resources out there for news about Israel, but these are the three I use the most and at no cost. tbnisrael.com/newsletter-signup

Resources for Current Issues

The children of NJ will be going back to school. It is important for parents to be aware of the curriculum, challenges and issues our public-school children are facing. Here are some important tools you are encouraged to review, along with a copy of an opt-out form to use as Holy Spirit would direct you. This has been made available to you by Rev. Greg Quinlan of The Center for Garden State Families:
